Not
far from the Hotel Cascina Era, the tourist who loves history
and taking walks can admire one of the most evocative corners of the
Biellese: the Ricetto in Candelo.
The Ricetto in Candelo is a fortified structure of the late
Middle Ages (XIII-XIV Century) built by the the local farming community,
on funds surrendered by the nobles Vialardi di Villanova, an old Biellese
family.
The Latin word "receptum" had the literal meaning of "refuge".
Originally the Ricetto was meant to offer permanent protection to
the most precious goods of the community which were the products coming
from the land. Only in cases of extreme danger and for short periods
was the Ricetto used as a refuge for people.
Of this typical monument, which is considered unique of its kind thanks
to the marvelous condition of conservation ( it has been for some
time an object of study on the part of some prestigious foreign universities)
, the 13th Century architecture of the medieval hamlet can be admired.
It is an area of great cultural interest and in August plays host
to the Festival of Sacred Music.

far from the Hotel Cascina Era the Golf Club "Le Betulle"
in Magnano Biellese offers an exclusive and elegant setting which
is ideal for fully appreciating the pleasure of golf.
This evocative place lies in a pleasant setting on the slopes of the
Serra, the dorsal moraine that extends a short distance from Biella.
The course (18 holes, par 73 measuring 6497 meters) was designed very
successfully by the famous English architect, John Morrison, in the
late 1950s and it extends in a scenario of rare natural beauty.

from all over the world have participated in famous tournaments
and has always received the highest recognition from the international
world of golf. Having reached this supremacy is also thanks to the
